What are the key features of the e+Statement Service?

e+Statement Service allows you to view electronic version of your Life Insurance policy statements online via “e+Policy Services – Life Insurance” anytime, anywhere. The electronic version looks the same as the paper version you receive today. 

In respect of any statement type which is subscribed to e+Statement service, paper copies of that statement will no longer be sent to you for relevant policies. This will automatically apply to the same statement type of all further life policies issued by Prudential.

Is there a charge for e+Statement Service?

No. e+Statement Service is offered to you FREE of charge.

What types of statement are available for e+Statement Service?

The following statement of Life Insurance polices are currently available for e+Statement Service:

  1. Anniversary Statement
  2. Fund Trading Advice
  3. Premium Notice

How can I subscribe to e+Statement Service?

You can logon to “e+Policy Services – Life Insurance”. Click on “e+Statement” on the left menu under “Policyowner homepage” and then choose “Subscribe to e+Statement” to start the subscription.

When will my subscription take effect?

Once subscription is completed, e+Statement Service will be activated instantly that you can go to “View e+Statement” and check out existing electronic version of statements, if any. However, for instruction submitted after 9:00pm, the suppression of delivering paper statements take effect on the next calendar day.

Do I need to subscribe e+Statement Service for any new policies that I applied in the future?

No. Since the e+Statement Service is subscribed by statement type, once subscription is completed, it will automatically apply to the same statement type of all further life insurance policies issued by Prudential.

How do I know my e-statements are available?

When new e-statement is available for viewing at your “e+Policy Service – Life Insurance”, you will receive an email from Prudential, e+Alert@prudential.com.hk, to your designated email address with a security phrase that you will have chosen in the subject line. 

If respective e-statements are kept unread for more than 14 days, a reminder email will be sent to your latest designated email address.

Will I continue to receive paper statement after subscribing to e+Statement Service?

No. In respect of any statement which is subscribed to e+Statement service, paper copies of that statement will no longer be sent to you for relevant policies.

What is the format of my e-statement?

All e-statements are in PDF (Portable Document File). You need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 5 or above) in your computer to view the e-statement.

If I cannot view Chinese fonts in the PDF files, what can I do?

You can download and install the free Chinese Traditional Font Pack files from Adobe website.

Why are the e+Alerts from Prudential stored in the Trash Box instead of Inbox?

Some webmail providers may have a chance to treat the email sent from Prudential as potential spam mails for several reasons. You are advised to add Prudential's email address, e+Alert@prudential.com.hk, on your address book to solve the problem.

Can I change my designated email address and mobile phone number?

Yes. After logon to “e+Policy Services – Life Insurance”, you can change your designated email address and mobile phone number whenever you want by one of the following:

  1. Click on "e+Statement" on the left menu under "Policyowner homepage" and then choose "Subscribe to e+Statement". You may update the email address and mobile phone number under the “Set up e+Alert” section.
  2. Click on "My Profile" on the left menu under "Policyowner homepage" and then choose "Update Personal Information". You may provide a new email address and mobile phone number in "New Information" column.

Can I cancel e+Statement Service in order to resume receiving paper statement?

Yes. You can cancel e+Statement Service to resume receiving paper statement by giving a written instruction to Prudential. Upon receiving your written instruction, Prudential will take 7 working days to proceed.
